What's the perfect dinner date?

Ok, this is the first blogs, that I am doing..... since I have so much to say and I don't write or have ever kept a diary, I guess it's a start .

So I had this date with a guy I met on the internet, we had been chatting and talking on the phone for few weeks now. When he suggested I join them for really upmarket clubs in London, i declined as I already had various plans for the weekend.

So, yesterday, I should have cancelled considering that I was tired from the night before, between my friend and I we drunk two bottles of white wine, yes to say the least I was a bit drunk. We ended up in his flat and when he started trying it on, I came up with a soft story about waiting for a phone call from abroad in the early hours of the morning, alas, my great escape.

I met my date at about 9pm, what can I say, I was one hour date and not feeling too great from the night before. He made several calls as he was getting worried that I was not going to meet him. There is a simple explanation for not getting the calls, I was in the London underground.

When I arrived to my destination, I was feeling worse, totally regreting why I had come in the first place. When as a well brought lady, I took a good bottle of red wine. After several more calls, him calling me and me calling him, we eventaually met. We said, hello etc

He drove the few minutes to his house and told me that he was not sure what to cook so he had made some minced and pasta. I think I was meant to be impressed with his expertise in the kitchen. I was not impressed by a man inviting you for dinner then making a simple pasta bolognaise. I would have tried eating but I was feeling so ill like you know, I am just going to be runing in the bathroom and alas! I did not know where it was.

I was picking at my food like a 2 years old and he was getting very irritable and every now and again, he keep pulling this strings of blonde hair from his plate, he was not sure where it was coming from. Well, I did not eat the food, he said, "you can take it home" I did not think so as I really do not like pasta.

What is it about men, when they invite a girl for dinner, they only food they think of is pasta bolognaise. I first had that when I was young, my date invited me to dinner only to discovered that he had socked the spaghetti in water for three hours and the minced was under cooked. I did not eat that too.

Next, my French ex boyfriend, whom we dated for two years and six months, when I first visited him in Paris. He asked me if I would like dinner... yum yum... I was starving.. couldn't wait, again, was pasta with a pot of chilli sauce. I cannot believe that he was expecting me to eat that. I did not eat the food, I piled it with all the chilli sauce and alas, it was too hot to eat. My then boyfriend, thought I acted like a 2 years old and rather than giving him the encouragement to cook more I have done the opposite.

Teaching him to cook, I did not feel was part of my job. I feel that all parents must educate their sons and daughters with different skills so they can be well equipped for the hard harsh world out there. My then boyfriend was well in his forties, talking about teaching an old dog new tricks..

Ok, it seems that all the dates that invite me to dinner have very limited imaginations and lacks all sense of creativity. I will in the future avoids all the dates, who offer to cook for me dinner.

Well, I left last night in a hurry because my date, stood up, unzipped his trousers and wanted a BJ... What a cheek!
